The Bureau of Customs in Cebu burned the donations intended for Super Typhoon Yolanda victims after the imported shipment were declared as abandoned.

These were supposed to be donated in 2014 but were declared as abandoned in June 2017.
The donors and consignees did not get an exemption for payment of taxes and duties from the Department of Finance which is essential before the shipment will be released.
