Trillanes magsasampa ng Kasong Plunder laban kay Sen. Gordon

Trillanes to file plunder case vs. Gordon on Wednesday

Senator Antonio Trillanes IV has finalized the plunder complaint against Senator Richard Gordon and would be filing it with the Office of the Ombudsman on Wednesday morning.

During the Kapihan sa Senado on Tuesday, Trillanes said that the plunder complaint involved alleged anomalies involving Gordon as chairman of the Philippine Red Cross.

He said that Gordon had supposedly allocated his pork barrel funds to the Philippine Red Cross.

“I will be filing the case tomorrow, plunder, against Senator Gordon, tomorrow morning ‘yan. This is in relation doon sa pag-plunder niya nung pondo ng gobyerno na pina-allocate niya sa Red Cross,” he said.

“Ginamit niya and Red Cross para sa sariling interest,” he added.

In September, Trillanes had already said he would file a plunder case as well as an ethics complaint against Gordon.

“It’s more than the P50-million threshold so nandoon bukas nakalagay yung mga attachments, mga documentary evidence,” he said.

“Nung Senador siya nung first term niya nag-allocate siya ng pondo sa Red Cross habang chairman siya, bawal ‘yun parang Napoles scam ‘yon,” he added. “Kung titingnan mo walang problema, kaso siya ang chairman, siya ang nagdidisburse ng pondo.”

‘Probe PRC funds too’

Trillanes said he would also submit a letter to the Commission on Audit to start an investigation on the funds of Philippine Red Cross.

Also, he said he would be submitting a letter to the International Federation of the Red Cross for the conduct of an independent audit.

“Once na na-file ko na ‘yan at pagbukas natin ng session, ito na ngayon ang ilalabas ko sa mga colleagues ko sa Senado na we have a chairman ng blue ribbon committee to investigate the acts of corruption pero siya mismo may plunder at kung ano ano pa na anomalous na ginawa,” Trillanes said.

“Kahiyaan na ito, kumbaga as a matter of delicadez which I don’t expect also from Senator Gordon,” he added.

Unfazed by Trillanes’ threat, Gordon has earlier said he was read to answer allegations to be hurled against him over his role at the Red Cross.

Gordon maintained he does not get paid for his work at the Red Cross.
