According to the Facebook page Aksyonradyo Iloilo, Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog, Senator Franklin Drilon and Mar Roxas were tagged as drug protectors or the so-called narcopoliticians.
Top drug lord Ricky Serenio revealed on his sworn affidavit signed on October 18, 2017 that Mabilog, Drilon and Roxas were drug protectors in the Visayan region.

That in this affidavit I will identify the personalities involved and narate the facts and circumstances surrounding the drug trade propagated by the so-called narcopoliticians in the Visayan region. I am referring to the druglords being protected by none other than Mar Roxas and Franklin Drilon, who had the plan of controlling the illegal drug business in the Western Visayas-Panay/Negros,” Serenio wrote on his affidavit.
That Mar Roxas and Franklin Drilon are the political patrons of Iloilo Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog who is closely connected to the two as shown in the political inclination of the city which is a “pro-yellow” during the elections in 2016. However, there is a deeper reason to that affiliation. Mayor Mabilog is the indefatigable protector/strong supporter of the former druglord Melvin Odicta, Sr. who formed his famous conjugal illegal drug operations with his wife Merriam Odicta, operating centrally in Iloilo City making it the most “shabulized” City in the country,” Serenio added.

That while they consider me as a useful and a potential go-to person, this Roxas-Drilon drug scheme in partnership with Melvin Odicta was designed to take over the drug trade in Negros by kicking out Berya Tolentino and Camaria from their dominance as local drug suppliers. Being in power with close association to the PNP, it was easy for the Roxas-Drilon tandem to paralyze, and eventually overthrow the Berya-Camaria drug operations and wipe out these groups from operating in the Negros Island, the main objective of which is to turn over the drug operations in Negros to Odicta. Indeed, the Negros market is bigger than in Panay or Iloilo as confirmed in the declaration of Pres. Duterte that the NIR is No. 3 as most drug affected in the country,” he stated.

Reacting to Trillanes Washington visits, New York University Alumnus and international writer Krizette Laureta Chu, wrote an open letter to Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte published through her Facebook account.
In her post, Chu addressing President Duterte, gained support from netizens where she expressed her harangue over Senator Trillanes IV whom she called a traitor.
Chu said that Trillianes is trying to overthrow the government to help the enemies where he creates negative image to give the other countries leaders a negative impression about the Philippines like for being a “killing field” and corrupt.
“He is going around painting a negative image of this country, convincing

become a killing field, and planning to wrest power from a

She strongly expressed how badly she wants Trillanes to be arrested and suggested to arrest him as soon as he arrives in Manila.

Former socioeconomic planning secretary Winnie Monsod believes it’s high time the Philippine Medical Association (PMA) or other doctors’ groups to assess the state of President Rodrigo Duterte’s mental health to see if he’s still fit to run the country.
Monsod made the suggestion after 27 psychiatrists and mental health experts in the United States published a book titled “The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump,” in which the American President is characterized as “bad,” and “abusive,” among others.
While none of the experts have personally examined President Trump, Monsod said in her October 14 column for the Philippine Daily Inquirer that they were emboldened to come out with the book because of the “duty to warn” law in 33 US states.
The book’s contributors are not wackos. They are at the top of their professions, and sincerely believe that Trump is a danger to their country,” she said
Monsod said President Trump’s counterpart, President Duterte, already has an existing psychological evaluation courtesy of Dr. Natividad Dayan, former president of the International Council of Psychologists, as part of annulment proceedings.
Dr. Dayan concluded that Mr. Duterte was suffering from ‘Antisocial Narcissistic Personality Disorder,’ a condition characterized by ‘gross indifference, insensitivity and self-centeredness,’ ‘grandiose sense of self-entitlement and manipulative behaviors,’ and ‘pervasive tendency to demean, humiliate others and violate their rights and feelings.’ Does that sound familiar?” she asked.
As President Duterte’s constituents, Monsod said the public has the right to know about the state of the President’s mental health.
In particular, Monsod is curious whether President Duterte’s behavior is simply that of a “spoiled brat” or something “more sinister.”
I have made this suggestion before, but in the light of the new book on Trump, I make it again: Our Philippine Medical Association, or whatever psychological or psychiatric associations should get together, with or without Dr. Dayan’s presence, and assess the President’s behavior, based on her report and based on what they read about him,” she said.

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) said Tuesday’s transport strike by the Pinagkaisang Samahan ng mga Tsuper at Operator Nationwide (PISTON) has failed to paralyze public transport.
LTFRB stated out of the 74 vehicles that were deployed, 13 were only used to serve 580 passengers out of an estimated 10 million jeepney riders.
Still, this means that only less than 1 percent of the jeepney ridership were affected by today’s transport strike,” LTFRB board member and spokesperson Aileen Lizada said in a text message to reporters.
During the first day of the transport strike on Monday, 23 vehicles were used to assist 1,140 stranded commuters.
The LTFRB has also monitored that there are no reported transport strikes in Ilocos, Cagayan, Bicol, Visayas, Zamboanga, SOCCKSARGEN and Cordillera regions.
The Board is eyeing to file charges against PISTON National President George San Mateo for urging jeepney operators and drivers not to provide their services to commuters.
PISTON President San Mateo must be held into account for the actions done by the transport group during the strike,” said Lizada.
The LTFRB has recently filed charges against San Mateo for violating Commonwealth Act No. 146 known as the Public Service Act before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
The PISTON leader allegedly encouraged jeepney operators not to provide rides to commuters in defiance of the government during its transport strike last February.
PISTON National President George Mateo has stated that they are seeking for a dialogue with President Rodrigo Duterte on the PUV Modernization Program (PUVMP).
Furthermore, the Board is set to cancel the franchises of jeepney operators that participated in the two day transport strike.
The transport group is asking the government to put on hold the implementation of the program to pave way for a review of its guidelines.
We are asking specifically for a framework that will enable a nationalized, efficient and affordable public transportation system in the country. The government should not modernize public transport in favor of large companies and monopolies as this would lead to the disenfranchisement of jeepney operators and drivers,” PISTON national president George San Mateo said in a television interview.
The DOTr and LTFRB issued a statement asking for support of the PUVMP as they reiterated that the program aims to ensure an efficient, safe, comfortable, PWD friendly and environmentally sustainable mode of transportation to commuters.
They called on PISTON to have a discussion with them on the benefits of the modernization program.
Under the PUV Modernization Program, jeepney units that are 15 years old will be replaced with Euro 4 engines or electrically-powered engines with solar panels for roofs.
These will also be equipped with closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras, a GPS navigation system, an Automatic Fare Collection System (AFCS), speed limiters, dashboard cameras, and Wi-Fi.
