Two prominent political family from the Province o Iloilo, Congressman Richard Garin and Mayor Oscar Garin was accused of allegedly hitting a police officer identified as PO3 Federico Macaya assigned at Guimbal Municipal Police Station (MPS).
Based upon the initial report of PTV, the police officer was allegedly hit by the two politicians from Iloilo. The incident happened early morning of December 26, 2018.
The police report stated that the two politicians summoned PO3 Federico Macaya to appear in front of the two politicians. PO3 Macaya was then disarmed, body searched, and handcuffed while a gun was pointed at the police officer.
PTV also reported that investigations was already undertaken regarding the incident, while the Chief of Police of Guimbal was already relieved from his post for non-action with the reported incident.
Meanwhile according to former Army Major Sir Abe Purugganan who also shared the incident on his official Facebook account, arrest should be made against Congressman Richard Garin and Mayor Oscar Garin for an alleged abuse of authority.
He also urged the victim to file charges. Major Abe Purugganan also wondered why the police officer was summoned by the two politicians, what is the order for him and if there’s some complaint against the police officer it should undergo the proper procedure and chain of command.

TINGNAN: Namamaga pa ang mukha ng isang pulis na kinilalang si PO3 Federico Macaya mula sa Guimbal MPS matapos bugbugin nina Congressman Richard Garin mula sa Iloilo at Mayor Oscar Garin kaninang madaling araw.
Ayon sa report ng pulisya, tinawag ng mga pulitiko ang pulis at doon ito dinisarmahan, kinapkapan, at ipinosas habang tinututukan ng baril ng mga pulitiko.
Iniimbestigahan na ang insidente habang ire-relieve naman ang Chief of Police ng Guimbal dahil sa hindi pag-aksyon sa kanyang tauhan.
