Malaysian newspaper says, Going to the gym is a sign of being gay,

A Malaysian newspaper has published a gay-spotter’s checklist. It includes things like being a gym member or having a beard as signs of male homosexuality.
The helpful list of hints on how to spot members of the LGBT community has been published in the Malaysian daily newspaper Sinar Harian, alongside a piece featuring Islamic cleric Hanafiah Malik deploring the rise of homosexuality, which many Muslims consider sinful, in the south-east Asian country.

“[They] like going to the gym but not for exercising, but to ogle others,” reads one of the bullet points, adding that gay men have a penchant for beards and branded clothes and that their eyes light up when they see a handsome slice of beefcake.

Hugging, holding hands, being alone and talking disparagingly about men, meanwhile, are a sure-fire way of telling someone is a lesbian, according to the guide.

Homosexuality is still illegal in Muslim-majority Malaysia due to a British colonial-era law, and can be punished with up to 20 years in prison. LGBT people, along with liberal and Shia Muslims, are seen as a threat by Malaysia’s Sunni conservatives such as Hanafiah Malik, who told the newspaper there is an urgent need to stop the “rise” of homosexuality.

The preacher also said that “khunsa,” or hermaphrodites, should allowed to undergo surgery to have one of their sets of genitals removed.

The Sinar Harian article was not welcomed by everyone, however. Arwind Kumar, one of Malaysia’s biggest social media stars, ripped into the article on YouTube.

“I know a lot of priests, I know a lot ustads [Islamic scholars], I know a lot of really, really religious people who love keeping beards. Are you trying to say they are gay? That’s how stupid this whole article sounds,” he said.

“If you really want to educate society then explain to them the traits of a pedophile, a molester, a murderer, a kidnapper, people who actually endanger the lives of others. How the hell does a gay person endanger your life?”

President Rodrigo R. Duterte offered a PHP20,000 bounty for the head of every member of the New People’s Army (NPA) who continue to harass the Indigenous Peoples (IPs).

This was the President’s reply when asked about the killing and continued threats on IP leaders who do not support the cause of the communist groups.

Duterte bared in a press conference on Friday night at the Matina Enclaves in Davao City that he wants the IPs to be trained as Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit (Cafgu) for them to be able to fight against the rebels.

“Go out and hunt those who killed your comrades,” he said.

He said the IP would be trained for three months, after which they would be given firearms to use in fighting the rebels.

“I’ll put a reward to those lumads (IP) who will become Cafgu, one NPA you will kill I’ll pay you. You want money, I give you money, I’ll make P20,000 per head,” he said.

Anyway, he said the government has money. However, in the meantime, the President advised the lumads who are being harassed by the NPA to evacuate temporarily to areas near the military camps or other places.

The Eastern Mindanao Command has reported the death of Datu Banadjao Mampaundag and his son Jhonard inside their home in Sitio Igang, Barangay Palma Gil in the town of Talaingod, Davao del Norte on February 4.

The rebels allegedly strafed the house of Mampaundag using a vehicle to appear they were soldiers.

Aside from killing the victims, the rebels also tried to ambush the responding ambulance to rescue them.

On February 9, the Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative (IPMR) of the Mamanwa Tribe in Alegria, Surigao del Norte identified as Dakula Guillermo Tiambon was shot dead in front of his family in their farm at Sitio Palo 10, Brgy Camp Edward, Alegria, Surigao del Norte on Friday afternoon.

According to the victim’s daughter, her father received death threats from the NPA for being an active advocate of peace and development.

On February 8, lumad leaders in Talaingod launched a protest seeking justice for the killing of the Mampaundags.

Last January 31 to February 1, lumad leaders from four regions in Mindanao convened in Davao City upon the initiative of the President to hear their concerns.

The two pressing issues raised by the lumads were on their security and lack of economic opportunities to uplift their lives. (Armando Fenequito Jr/PNA)

Davao City Number 1 sa Murder at Number 2 sa Rape – Trillanes

1

Sobrang Sinisiraan niya si Tatay Digong at Nadadamay pa ang Davao City, it will greatly affect the tourism of Davao City because of his statements!

Good News: Philippines signs $233M helicopter deal with Canada to fight rebels

The Philippines signed a deal with Canada on Tuesday to buy 16 combat utility helicopters worth $233.36 million, as the military prepared to step up operations against Islamist and communist rebels.

The Bell 412EPI helicopters will be delivered early next year as President Rodrigo Duterte re-focuses the armed forces modernisation programme to tackle growing domestic threats as Maoist fighters and pro-Islamic State extremists try to regroup.

“The helicopters will be used for the military’s internal security operations,” Major-General Restituto Padilla, military chief of plans, told Reuters, adding the aircraft could also be used for search-and-rescue and disaster relief operations.

The helicopters would replace the second-hand Vietnam War-era UH-1H Huey rotary aircraft, the workhorse of the Philippine Air Force.

The Philippines acquired those from the United States.

Defence Secretary Delfin Lorenzana signed the negotiated government contract with the Canadian Commercial Corporation, which was licensed to sell the American military aircraft.

It was the second time the Philippines has acquired Bell helicopters. In 2014, it bought eight lower variant of the aircraft for 4.8 billion pesos (about $116.6 million)

The Philippines is spending 125 billion pesos for the next five years to modernise its armed forces, but putting priority on equipment and armaments for internal security operations to defeat domestic threats as well protect its maritime borders.

It is also acquiring three frigates from South Korea, air defence radars from Israel, armoured vehicles, a long-range patrol aircraft and assault rifles and grenade launchers from Russia.

SC Orders Kris Aquino to Return “Imelda Marcos Diamond Necklace” She Borrowed from Malacañang During Pnoy’s Term

The Supreme Court (SC) on Monday released a 2-page memo ordering the Queen of all Media Kris Aquino to return the diamond necklace she borrowed from Malacañang.

The memo said Aquino should return the necklace as soon as possible as the one-year period the Palace gave her to temporarily used the necklace has already expired on November 2016.

Aquino used the necklace at the 2015 APEC CEO Summit held on 16–18 November at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel.

The controversial necklace was previously owned by former First Lady Imelda Marcos and was left to the palace as it was included in the alleged ill-gotten wealth. But Mrs. Marcos on several interviews said the necklace was custom-designed for her by a late French jeweler.

Former President Benigno Aquino III let his little sister borrowed the necklace for one year but the high court said there is no sign the Ms. Aquino is interested on returning the $1.2M Imelda Marcos diamond necklace.

SC warned that Aquino my face qualified theft and other charges if she continue to resist SC order and refuse to return the necklace.

The high court’s decision is an immediate answer to a complaint filed by the PCGG last month.
Aquino refuse to comment as of press time although she previously denied that she borrowed the necklace despite photos of her wearing the jewelry went viral online.

MemeBuster also busted this same story two years ago via the post Busted: Kris Aquino did NOT wear Imelda Marcos’ jewelry.

As what we’ve said in our article, it is impossible for Aquino to get hold of the said jewelry pieces because these are kept safely at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ high security vault.

The Presidential Commission on Good Governance said that the keys are held by four different agencies – the PCGG, COA, Bureau of Customs, and the Office of the President.

PCGG commissioner Andrew de Castro was also quoted saying that Aquino’s jewelry look different from the ones owned by Marcos. The Marcos jewelry in question is adorned with dark jewels connecting the diamonds to each other.

Aquino said that her jewelry is made of cubic zirconia and silver, not diamond. She added that she bought it from Bottega Veneta, an Italian luxury goods and high fashion brand house best known for its leather goods.

========================= from PTV news below:

The anti-dengue vaccine Dengvaxia had not been registered with the European Medicines Agency, the counterpart of the Philippines’ Food and Drug Administration (FDA), prior to its distribution in the country.

Asia Pacific head of French pharmaceutical firm Sanofi Pasteur Thomas Triomphe made the admission on Monday during the House inquiry into the controversial purchase of some PHP3.5-billion worth of Dengvaxia vaccines during the previous administration.

Triomphe stressed that while the vaccine’s registration remains pending, its “safety and efficacy have been demonstrated.”

Iloilo Rep. Ferjenel Biron said that “Sanofi had no business to distribute it in the Philippines” since the vaccine had not been registered with the country of origin.

For her part, FDA OIC Director Maria Lourdes Santiago, who was also present during the hearing, said the anti-dengue vaccine satisfied the requirements for vaccine validation so it was given clearance for marketing in the Philippines.

FDA said Dengvaxia was approved based on the World Health Organization’s recommendation and the International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) guideline for the evaluation of vaccines.

During the same hearing, Department of Health (DOH) Undersecretary Enrique Domingo said three cases of the 14 examined deaths had “causal association” to the Dengvaxia vaccine.

Domingo said these three patients were injected with Dengvaxia and subsequently died of dengue within 30 days.

Triomphe said there is no direct evidence linking Dengvaxia to any deaths. Triomphe also maintained that using Dengvaxia will ensure less dengue cases in the Philippines than not using it.

Triomphe said Sanofi-Pasteur would not refund the PHP1.8 billion cost of used Dengvaxia vaccines because “doing so will imply the product is ineffective.”

Sanofi has already reimbursed to DOH the amount of PHP1.16 billion for the unused doses of Dengvaxia.

DOH Secretary Francisco Duque also raised concern over the impact of the Dengvaxia controversy to other vaccine programs of the government.

“It (Dengvaxia) has indeed tainted the entire DOH immunization program,” Duque said.

Under the administration of former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III and former Health Secretary Janet Garin, the Philippines became the first country in the world to launch in April 2016 a public inoculation plan against dengue using Dengvaxia.

The DOH has since suspended the anti-dengue immunization drive, after Sanofi conceded that Dengvaxia could worsen symptoms for vaccinated children who contracted the disease for the first time.

More than 700,000 Filipino school children had already received Dengvaxia shots by the time the DOH suspended the immunization drive. (Filane Mikee Cervantes/PNA)

Most of the Duterte Supporters are STUPID and IGNORANT – Trillanes

Senator Antonio Trillanes IV on Saturday hit supporters of President Rodrigo Duterte anew by calling them “stupid and ignorant”.

During an interview with Radyo Singko, Trillanes said that there should be a stupidity vaccine given to voters before the 2019 senatorial elections so people could vote sensibly.

He also added that Duterte supporters, aside from being paid in order to attack Duterte critics like him, most are stupid

Trillanes also maintained that he will do everything in his power to uncover Duterte’s hidden wealth, and his family, especially those owned by Davao City Mayor Sarah Duterte-Carpio.
